Book tip October 2019: Veg by Jamie Oliver

I’ve gone through an unbelievably unhealthy few weeks lately – as I was moving house (more on that later!) and moved on from working full time to freelancing only and it was just completely hectic times. That shouldn’t be an excuse though, especially as I’ve got my fair share of health issues as it is. But now that everything has settled a bit more I’m more than ever dedicated to getting back onto a more balanced lifestyle and Jamie Oliver’s new cookbook ‘Veg’ couldn’t have come at a better time.

It arrived in the mail today after ordering it on Amazon and I can’t wait to begin cooking! I was quite blown away by the amount of recipes (more than 100) in the book, divided into 11 handy chapters. I started tagging the pages I wanted to cook first but ended up not being able to close the book properly anymore as I had just put bookmarks in too many pages.

Veggie pad thai, spiced carrot pancakes, scruffy aubergine lasagne and courgette & feta scones were some of the recipes I’ll be cooking first for sure but there’s plenty more on my list, and also plenty more recipes that already inspired me to make something brand new myself.
